View attachment 71741I have lost track as to how many Amaryllis bulbs I have. More than half, I hybridized for fun , many years ago. I repotted them all last summer and the huge bulbs and huge blooms are beginning to reward me. It will be zero outside tonight. The cold air and wind have been keeping me indoors. The color sure brightens January.

Amaryllis are so beautiful, yet they have been a challenge to keep in our house due to fungus gnat infestations. Is there a special potting mix you use with them to limit insect activity??

Get some mosquito dunks and soak them In your watering cans before watering your plants.This will kill the larvae. Fly strips will catch the adults. Treat all plant, especially big box store plants, to keep them at bay.

1) my dog suddenly became photogenic.
2) the Rockefeller tree that came from my neighbors home in west Stockbridge.
3,4,6) the New York botanical gardens
5) mmrhs greenhouse plant
7,8,9) nemkeg (I don’t know if I spelled that correctly) lights. Every year a big property lights up and offers tours in Stockbridge Massachusetts.
10) midnight sky’s from my front porch

1)New York city has such tall buildings.
2)my neighbor gave me permission to photograph their property. This is what I got.
3)I was bored in my car so I took this picture.
4) I was at a holiday stroll with my friends and the dog Mede the solubility look like the moon.
5,6,7) I was with my uncle and he said “I bet you can’t get a good photo without moving your feet” so I took these photos
8,9,10) I was in an extra curricular activity called hiking club for school. We whent to Gould meadows. I got some great photos!
