Pretty flowers, I especially like the last iris. I love spider wort too, I read somewhere the stalks are edible like asparagus, but I don't have enough growing to sacrifice the pretty flowers.
So many TEG gardeners have country scenes in the background of their at-home pictures.
I have an iris like that, Stony'. The plants came with the home. I have no idea when the iris was planted, the house was built in 1901.
There was a tree standing over these iris. It was in absolutely a terrible location - so close to the house it was bound to cause trouble. After that tree came down, the iris bloomed! You should have seen DW and me running around with happy faces the day the iris began to bloom.
I really like the colors in that planter, Stony. That last iris may have come from an old homesite. I have some just like it that I dug up on my dad's farm that my great-great-grandmother had planted. You might want to go back out there with a metal detector.
Lovely! Thank you for sharing.
I'm not sure - it's been a year since I saw them last - but I think that the iris' I recently 'rescued' will be like your last pict. (I hope, that's beautiful!)
