"Hell-eh-na" is from the 1935 version of "A Midsummer Night's Dream," starring (among others) Mickey Rooney, who played "Puck."
They discovered lost footage in the 1990's and cleaned up the film quality. I have a copy that I watch every June.

The music is from Felix Mendelssohn's incidental music, but the arrangements are Eric Wolfgang Korngold who wrote a LOT of 30's and 40's film scores.
If you know the story, the two couples are bewitched in the woods outside of Athens, and both Lysander and Demetrius are chasing Helena. They WERE both chasing Hermia back in Athens.
The both call out to Helena, just like your friend said, "Hell-eh-na"
