With our son Alexii, my husband originally wanted to name him Sergei. I hated the name. When Emily was born, we had a bet. If it was a girl, I named her. If it was a boy, he got to name it. He was going to name a boy Koyomi. I won, Emily Marie.
So when we found out we were having Rin, I said my husband could name her, and I'd step out. He refused to even mention a possible name until he could look her in the eye, and get a chance to see her personality. "Rin" means dignified in Japanese.
Thanks for asking! My birth team was excellent. I told them I did not want a natural birth, and they made sure it didn't happen. Birth went super quick, and I get more sleep than I did when pregnant. I had to visit the bathroom every 45 minutes last couple of weeks, and now I get at least 2 hours before she wants something. Sooo much more sleep!
