You may want to switch plumbers. o_O First, he should have told you exactly what broke in the handle and what he did to repair it. Then, it shouldn't be dripping when he got done.

I suddenly have a lot of little plumbing things that need thing care of. One toilet is leaking. But not the way they usually do. The tank fills and then 20 minutes later it fills a little more. Enough that the water company sent warning that our water usage had increased and it was likely a toilet. (Husband wouldn't listen to me.) Need a new faucet in another bathroom. Husband tried to fix it. It's a weird faucet that needed a professional. Plus he's a big guy. Too big to get his hands into a tiny spot for repair. Shower moving handle for head stopped moving. Jeesh. Called the plumber. But this is the beginning of emergency season so who knows when he will be able to come.

Old house Cat lots of little things always worn out.
One bathroom was "New" I am guessing 14 years ago. So 1 toilet that needs repair isn't too bad. The other was new 10 years ago. Spent a lot on some shower heads, well a lot by the money standards of then. When you buy from a premier company it seems there are no repair parts.
