Before we had the back forestry mulched, does used to jump inside the fence to have their fawns. The brush and briars were so thick that we couldn't even see from one side to the other. The dogs didn't run back there and those darn deer would walk right up against their fence, making the dogs go barking mad. LOL We usually had 2-3 fawns stashed behind the horse barn. But they never came up front where the garden--and the dogs--are.

in the past i've had deer bed down overnight in the north garden just a few feet from where i'm perched here on the futon. now that i have it cleared out and back in production i don't expect them to do that again, but who knows... at least with the new fence it has reduced the amount of traffic, but it has not eliminated it.
