As many of you know, we recently adopted a stray calico kitten. Well, Dew forced the adoption, and I of course knuckled under to her like a coward. The community here helped resolve a naming issue. Our youngest DD called her Mocha, but I thought Bubbles was more fitting. It was suggested that we call her Mocha Bubbles, and that's the way we went (although, like a rebel, I still call her Bubbles...mostly "Bubbles the Cat").
Anyway, Bubbles the Cat was spayed yesterday. She came home today and while I'm sure she is happy to be home, she just seems miserable. She is fine and is sleeping in her favorite place (our bed).
Even though I don't particularly like the cat...if you could include an extra word or two in your evening prayers I'm sure she would appreciate it. She has a heart murmur so the surgery was iffy, but went off fine.

OK, fine. I love the dang cat and I hate seeing her this way. Just don't tell Sadie the Dog I said that ;)

I picked up my kitty around 10 am this morning. She was scared and shaking like a leaf on a tree in the fall. Got her home the first thing she did was went for her food bowl and ate most of a 2 cup bowl. Now she is sleeping on our bed and has been all day. I had to make her go to the littler box, when I picked her up she growled at me :( I feel bad for her. I know how painful surgery is... I've had a few my self.

Yeah..... MontyJ likes to try to be a big bad man, but when it comes right down to it he has a soft spot for this kitty.

I'll be sending good thoughts to your kitty. It amazes me that animals seem to have such an easy time recovering from trauma or surgeries. I guess they hide a lot of their pain, but still, they heal so quickly and get back to being their ole pesky selves. Maybe we should take a lesson from that.

Mocha Bubbles slept all day and night yesterday. She is still lounging around today, but does not seem to be as miserable as yesterday. She has been following me around the house most of the day when she isnt hiding from Sadie the dog.

How sweet you are Monty ;) In a day or two she should be back to normal. (Dew's last post shows she is already much improved.) Yep. wish I could recover from things like the cats and dogs do! Sending special hugs for Mocha Bubbles AND you. :hugs
