Poor Mocha Bubbles

How sweet you are Monty ;) In a day or two she should be back to normal. (Dew's last post shows she is already much improved.) Yep. wish I could recover from things like the cats and dogs do! Sending special hugs for Mocha Bubbles AND you. :hugs

I'd be happy if I could shake this cold.....I've been sick for about a week and I don't have time for being sick. Got too much to get done....it's spring time.

She is feeling better. Yesterday morning she came out and hit me up for her "morning time". Seems I can't have a cup of coffee in the morning without her reaching up my leg with both paws, wanting picked up. It's an every morning routine. She's still sleeping a lot, but getting better every day.
To be honest, I'm not really a cat person. Dew can attest to that. I don't hate cats in general like some people, but I'm not wildly crazy about them. There's just something about this cat. Maybe it's respect. I mean, after all, as a tiny kitten she was found in the chicken run stalking our largest, meanest hen. I have admiration for her courage. She also has a lot more personality than any of the other cats we've had.

Maybe she was hungry for chicken, MontyJ.

Dad's a dog person ... bird dogs. He even used to take his to field trials.

I've had dogs and cats. Dad used to like to come over and take a nap in my lazyboy. My cat liked to climb up on him and nap, too. She'd curl up and purr - he'd fall asleep ... She knew what she was doing.

;) Steve

My husband pretends to hate the pets but all the cats take turns sleeping on his stomach. When I ask him to get me a glass of wine he often says he can't because he will disturb the cat. The dog only listens to him. I don't think he has ever fed her other than the few days I was not home.

My Mocha Bubbles doesn't go very far from me since her surgery! As a matter of fact, she is about a foot away from me sleeping on my robe! If I'm ready for bed all I have to do is call her (most of the time) and she comes running. :love:love:love

my lady Bou does that but i've had her since she was about 8 weeks old and she's always been a 'clinger'. my leg was proof of her trying to always climb it to get into my arms! :ep now she's too big and just prefers to sleep on top of me all night or wait till i'm comfy on the couch to climb onto my lap or chest. i roll over during the night and she just walks over me like i'm log rolling. if i go into a room and close the door and she's on the other side she tries to get it open any way possible or make enough noise it forces me to let her in. she LOVES her belly rubbed too. never had a cat that likes that. o_O

Bubbles is like that also, she is a people kitty for sure. If I'm in the bathroom, and she knows it, she will climb threw a hole between the washer and the wall and come in. The funniest thing I have ever seen a cat do is sit on the ledge of the tub while I'm in the shower, between the shower curtain and liner. When I'm done I will gather my clothes and kitty and carry her out with me. She sleeps beside me up against my belly.

yes, i have my pair of voyeur kitties too. :hide Eddie my boy kitty tends to park himself on the sink, sits on the back of the toilet, side of tub surround, or comes in the bathroom just as i'm stepping out of the shower. he seems to love the damp towels and always wants to snuggle on it. i think that habit was left from when he was a kitten the first week i got him and he needed a bath to get rid of fleas. he always tries to climb on me when it is a certain green towel, which i know was the one i used on him that time to dry him off. (btw, haven't had fleas since :))

eta: my cats are only friendly to THEIR people, and their dog. yes, they OWN the dog! Eddie does what i call the 'drive by'. he walks past the dog with his tail in the air as close as he can about 3 times a day while the dog is laying down. i've seen Bou doing this too but she doesn't put up with my corgi trying to chase her.
