I tired this with peppers but didnt have any luck.
I had the same issue... I tried 12 bell peppers red and green. I got NOTHING!

Nothing else I have tried from the store has worked either. I decided to try again :(

Doesn't mean I think it wouldn't work, I was just out of time and didn't want to bother.

Keep trying. Peppers need a lot of heat to germinate.

I usually get pepper plants growing out of the compost heap from store-boughten pepper guts. The compost heap is southern-facing and of course, very toasty.

You're only going to get pepper seeds to germinate if they matured on the plant.

Green peppers are almost invariably NOT mature, by definition (and I say "almost" only because I would not be shocked if there were a green-at-maturity variety out there, not because I actually know of any).

Even red peppers may not have matured enough for the seeds to be viable.

I've successfully planted seeds from fresh and dried chili peppers, though, in past years, so it is not impossible at least with the hot varieties.

Good luck,

Pat
