We'll be excited to see how that turns out, Rebbetzin! What are you using for your soil mix?

I tried the wire basket potatoes, but didn't do well. I think my soil wasn't rich enough or didn't hold enough moisture or something (also layered in straw with it.) The above ground potatoes layered in straw did much better for me (minus the voles chomping on them), but I think the bloodmeal and bonemeal had a lot to do with it.

I am using compost, and Goat droppings and straw. My peas are doing will with that combination, so I am hoping Potatoes will like it too. I have never even tried growing potatoes, well, I have stuck a couple of "sprouted" ones in the garden, but never really got anything larger than a an inch or two across.
