Ridge brings up a good point. Hopefully there is more to be being a great catch than physical attractiveness.
And it's not always men who are abusers in relationships. Women are quite capable of wearing those shoes too.

Speaking of jerks in grocery stores, I had to run in and grab something quickly one afternoon, and in the produce section was a teenager with his mom (I assume) pushing a cart. On the back of the boys t-shirt, in the biggest block letters possible was "_ _ _ K OFF".
So offensive. It made me angry that this "mother" or whatever guardian type she was would allow a kid to own a shirt like that, much less wear it publicly. I was gathering myself to make a relevant comment when I chickened out. I figured he could easily outrun me and if I was followed out of the store my truck and trailer are pretty distinctive (and my phone # is on the sign on my door).
If dh was with me I sure would have!
My husband is a gentle giant. But there are always annoying jerks out there, crazy drivers in particular. I tell him all of the time. Avoid the fools and be one your way. Those drivers and the wearers of offensive shirts are the ones who may be carrying a weapon and looking for a reason to use it. That kid may have happily given you a punch, or in the least lashed out verbally with what was written. You can only hope that Karma is a real thing.
Remember the young boy shot and killed for playing loud music just a few months back? That guy did get "life" pretty quickly.

It is creepy to know that you were at the same place that crimes were committed like that. When I was a kid in Houston, a friend of mine had some nice horses and let kids ride them. She also owned boat stalls that were made infamous by Dean Corll torturing and murdering boys and burying them in boat stalls he rented from my friend. I rode horses with my friends all over her property. Yup, creepy.
