Just a note about the Tanglefoot Journey, I'm not sure if I was clear on that point about applying it to the masking tape... you just want to make sure it's not directly applied to the trees trunk. Vetrap would certainly work but the masking tape is cheaper and does a fine job of it. No worries about it causing girdling problems, because by late fall it is ready to just fall off. You wouldn't need TF on the tree in the winter anyway. It sure traps any climbing pests tho!

Ok, I've got masking tape too. :D

Where do you get your tanglefoot from? I've never seen it before, so is it something you have to special order?

I get mine from any of several garden centers. It's been around forever,... so maybe if you made some phone calls to nurserys?
Home Depot may have it as well, hopefully you won't have to special order it. :cool:
