It does look exactly like what I've had going on. But the peppers had more purple on them. Some were almost all purple. Lol. What is that?

with the extreme heat we have had this summer did some digging on the web the banana peppers have whats called a sunburn theres nothing wrong with them.
ours does the same thing late in the season.... even i learned something...

I'm sure. I've taken very beautiful peppers off that plant. Then everything started turning purple like in the pic @majorcatfish shared
