I have clicked all around this topic as I contemplated MY PURPOSE! I think part of it is too remember my grandmother who I strive to be like. She loved her gardening! Being in nature is like a psychiatrist that I don't have to make an appointment with or pay the big bucks to get diagnosed. Also, I have always thought that I was a pioneer in a previous life in that I get so much enjoyment and satisfaction from growing things and would love to be self sufficient. I will never be self sufficient because I like to travel and do other things so will not get other animals other than chickens to have to care for each day. (Don't mind asking my mother to feed the chickens). I also like growing my own fresh food that I kinda know what was put on them and how they were grown for our health concerns. But, if I had to chose only one reason it would probably be because I feel closer to God out there in his world He created and he gives me the wonderful good feelings while there.
