Ok.. I'm not sure if this is the correct forum as none seemed quite right but here goes..
My blueberries in my front yard are all hooked up for drip using the 1/4" soaker lines in a circle config around each plant. I run it daily for 7 minutes currently at about 5am. I'm not convinced that this is enough water for them. I'm supplementing, as temps here lately are just shy of 100F mid-day, using my regular hose and the result is bushy new growth showing up as you can see in these images.
The plants that I've been irregular with supplemental watering are suffering or just plain dead in a few cases. Any thoughts on how much water is needed for blue's and should I switch from the soaker style drip hoses to something else like drip sprays/sprinklers? The soaker hose material I'm using is something like this available at your local big box stores. I will state that the ground in all cases is covered with locally sourced wood chips to a depth of about 8" around the plants starting about 8" away from each plant (I put a cone like a volcano has of acidic soil around each plant and backfilled with chips)
I've recently picked up some DIG sprayers locally that are adjustable that I could try..
