Last night there were a few drops of rain happening before I went to bed.

This morning I awoke to a blanket of half an inch of snow which is now over an inch of very wet dense snow!

Forecast for all week is for precipitation!

Yes indeed it sure is most truly and in fact, not theoretically, and unanimously, fersure, most hella sure...had to say it californian...a

very good thing seedcorn!

unless we get a good long cycle of wet years, your food prices will skyrocket.

Not sure what the recent standings are, but California, if it was its own country, used to be the 6th or 8th largest producer of agriculture products in the world, ya know, with china and russia, huge places, ahead.

Hella fersure and farout :woot

Marshall, I read somewhere (perhaps on an article linked here) that California produces around 87% and higher of some produce of the entire U.S.

People can double their gardens elsewhere but what about here?

I'm just trying to think of ways we can cut our water usage. But we've been preserving for years now. Not much more we can cut. I'm going to try putting a 5 gal. bucket in the shower to catch that cold water that is wasted before the hot comes on.

Oh wow. So glad you guys are getting some precip. Especially snow, much better than a flash flood of rain on parched soil...
