Ever since we starting putting in the raised beds the cats think the beds are their personal litter boxes. Is there anything I can plant around the boxes to deter the cats from doing their business in my vegetables?

You might try laying some fencing down in the dirt. If they can't comfortably dig, they will usually go elsewhere...What about a special raised bed just for them- with no plantings? Good luck!

Are these your own cats? The neighbors should not inflict you and your garden with their cats.

Zoonotic Diseases

The soft soil is what attracts them to use your garden. Unfortunately, soft soil is a good for your plants.

Lesa has a good idea about the fencing.

They are my own barn cats, one is tame and the other two are semi-tame.

I'll try the fencing, that might just work! Thanks! :D

I have 7 raised beds which are small enough (1metre X 1metre & 1metre X 2metre) to put canes in the corners to which I fasten fleece row-cover material to form a box. This serves the double service of keeping the cats & chickens out & protects against frosts & the high winds I get here. I use clothes pins to fasten it with & sometimes add a lid of fleece if I'm growing a crop of carrots (against carrot-fly). It also looks very neat & tidy.

You could also do something like this...

That is one of my raised beds getting ready for the spring, I've got my polytunnel frame up (its pvc pipes that are slotted into pvc pipe sections i've attached to the box using metal plumbers tape). Instead of covering it with plastic like I have, you can cover it with plastic hardware cloth! I'm going to be doing that this summer to keep my chickens out of the beds and my cats from pooping in them.
