This is the High Desert, there is usually a river to one side of the road or the other. You can if you wish trailer horses to where you can ride over or up into the hill to ether side of the roadway~where ever is isn't fenced.

The Sierra Nevada will be off to our right both in Nevada and California~we'll run south when we can see the foot hills.

. Pretty close now one picture is a rest area close to Mono Lake~

The Sierra will be to our right side from now on~

The foothills of the Sierra Nevada are now to our right with the Mountains behind, in some areas there are no foot hills and the mountains raise up from the High Desert floor to 10,000' or more~
