I agree Pecan Pire is the best! I could bring baked beans ala Grandma Gertz, they are my favorite way to prepare the beans. IS the sweet corn ready? Not here, so who is bringing the corn? (All joking aside I still have my fingers crossed that this goes in you favor as it should. And they better not postpone things again, I am tired of working with my fingers crossed!)

Son was working in our woods and gully today pulling out downed trees and cut logs when the neighbor came out and said DS was damaging his drainage with our tractor. He didn't call the sheriff (at least no one came this time) and he probably called his attorney to see if he can sue us for the damage. HAH! What part of OUR LAND doesn't he get? Son was no where near the disputed boundary.
Wednesday can't come too soon for me. Neighbors are in for one huge shock and I couldn't be more pleased. Us damaging their drainage! Wait till they see what happens to their drainage next spring! Like the lake, neighbor? Just swim over, ask nicely, and maybe I'll decide to let your water through our gully.
Sheesh! I wish! Even writing that makes me cringe. I am not the vindictive type. They don't realize that DH has spent a couple of years and several hundred dollars to get the water to drain off their property faster and cleaner.
