The ignore button is a very soothing and useful tool, and I'm glad to have the use of it. I have valley_ranch on ignore because I also don't like the voluminous amounts of off topic posts, but I harbor him/her no ill will. I just don't want to have to sort through all those posts. I've probably missed out no some really good ones, but my time is so limited I have to make that choice.

That being said, I agree with @journey11. There is a fine line between debate and bullying, and it does not hurt to give our posts an extra second or two of inspection before posting our replies.
