Deeply Rooted
I have recently acquired two house rabbits. My daughter moved in with a friend who had way too many animal in a small apartment and asked me to take the rabbits. Of course I need more animals like I need another hole in my head, but they were very thin and needed some care. So now we have Oreo and Squirrel. Squirrel is my sons favorite and Oreo is cute with his spiky hair. I have them in a dog crate and my son lets them out for about an hour in the evenings. They have been enjoying green beans (late season and stringy tough), tomato tops, cucumber peels, goat pellets, and hay. I have read up on house bunnies and have ordered some storage cubes and I'm going to Lowes this weekend and buying some laminate flooring, zip ties, 1x2's, and plywood to make them a condo similar to this one.

I will be trying the litter box system and was wondering if any of you guys use the litter box and then add it straight to your compost? There will be hay and newspaper shred in the litter box along with the other stuff.
Any suggestions would be welcome and here are pictures of them when I brought them home. I don't know if they are male or female rabbits.
