The trellis is made from recycled garage door tubes.
It will have more poles as the vines grow more.

What is a garage door tube?

And I love that you have the garden out in the front yard. Personally, I reckon that no one should move to a bigger place until they have fully utilized the space they currently have.
That means producing food out in front, too.

Looks great. You have done a super job of enriching your soil, by the looks of it....

Thank you!
A garage door tube is the tube above most doors that hold the torsion springs to counter balance the weight of the door. A new tube comes with each door so I just save the old one I take out.

The front garden will be a mix of ornamental and edible plants.
The soil came from a free mulch pile. It is more like dirt then mulch.
The chickens do there part as does my own compost.

Vfem I want to get it covered fast so I have planted morning glories at each pole. Then I have jasmine to follow. Beans are under the poles and will use strings for support. It should be covered with the morning glories before they give up for the season.

My thought is not just a trellis but to help cover come a frost or freeze. I like my tropical plants. Also it will help provide some shade for the sun is brutal out there!

The hurricane season gets people thinking. The garage door is the largest opening in the home. The old doors did not have to meet wind pressure tests. When the door goes the garage fills with air pressure, and therefore off goes the roof.

I have lots of fun with the old door openers also.
Automatic secret passage from the bath to bedroom.

A pantry that comes out of the wall with a remote. ;)
