Cancelled Reina’s vet appointment today and rescheduled for Saturday. There is a sloppy mud hole inside the gate. My diesel truck isn’t 4 wheel drive and getting stuck is not fun. It’s supposed to rain through Thursday. Sunshine Friday. If it’s still muddy, I’ll get a neighbor with 4 wheel drive to pull the trailer where I can hook onto it.

Does the eye look any better, or hard to say?

It looks much better. The pain must be subsiding. Even with Bute twice a day, she didn’t want me to touch around her eye. Now I can gently rub the side of her face and around her eye.

I call her, she comes to me, I give her a treat and clip on the lead rope. I tie her short and twitch her lip, give eye drops and release the twitch. Then she gets another treat. I’ve never ever used treats, but I thought it might be a good idea with her, and it sure has paid off!

Never used HORSE TREATS. Turns out dogs like them too. The sheep snuffle my pockets, biting on the fabric, trying to get to the treats, so yeah, they get treats too.

A lot of us can say we never used horse treats.....no big deal!
