Just checked on them. They haven't wilted in the ground and it is hot out! So, that is a plus!

Half the trees I have are from end of season clearance sales. I once picked up 4 red bud trees for $2 each. Almost all my hydrangeas where clearance.

Keep a eye on free or cheap plants on Craig's list. A couple of times i wanted to get rid of over grown shrubs. I put free you dig up always got lots of replies.

Pinch off the bottom few pairs of leaves and plant them deeply or in a trough - they will form advantageous roots along the buried stem portion.

sometimes you get lucky, you will really enjoy the taste of them I bet

Would love to see some progress pictures from beginning and throughout the revival process! I have my project going right now on two near-dead berry plants. More or less just sticks and want to see how others revive their plants. Best of luck!
