Got the pile tucked away from the freezing rain coming.
More stuff brought over, too.

I need to find some things to use to enclose this space for a raised bed. Ordered flower bulbs and now have plenty of dirt to use. But I don't think I have any cinderblocks or wood boards laying around to use...Of course, it's also not flat and level.

Power has been out since 5am. No work in garden, too cold in the house to be outside wet n freezing. Can't dry like that!
55 tomorrow, hope power cones back!
But gravel arrived! Not related to garden, but been waiting on it awhile.

Well, turned out it got warm, so i did some work! Had to stop bc DH reminded me that the power is out, and thus, no shower...

Should of gotten a 4ft wide roll.
Idk why I got the staples, everything is rock here...Went off to find loose rocks to use.
I'll reattach these two panels, then dig up 2 others i have and reattach those as well. They'll go up and join together in an arch.

The plastic barrels will be dumped into the cloth bags. I'll use barrels for flowers instead.

All in place. Little bags on left won't be included. Weeds by stairs will be removed. Left side has extra cloth bc I bought 3ft not 4ft wide and needed the clear space for that planter.

Power turned back on at 10:47pm. Dead asleep to awake and stumbling around freezing. Have to put time and date back on thermostat before it'll work. I miss the old knob styles, they always worked, no pointless time/date required!
Then the darn smoke alarms wouldn't stop! They always btch when power goes off, then when it comes back. Once, all went off when we were asleep. Thought my heart would explode. Bloody traumatizing!! Old house had no alarms, the silence was wonderful.
Eventually fell back asleep only to wake up sweating and stripping. Lol. House got to 49F before power returned.

Anyway, warm out today. Hope to get everything filled with what's available.
But trellis needs tposts. Do I add 1 in the center on each side, hoping nothing weeds come through bed, or 2 on the outside of each bed and be able to see weeds...or maybe just 1 each outside is enough?? Idk if I have enough free tposts lying around.

Since the koi pond is somewhat abandoned from regular use/enjoyment, I'll be moving the 40+ rubber pavers to the garden. Then plant grass by pond and move fence over once grass has grown in.
