On line, I've been seeing some furniture made of rubber tree wood. Supposed to be a sustainable wood source and a byproduct of the rubber harvest.
Has anyone bought any furniture made of this kind of wood? And how do you like it?

Used to own a furniture store. Bought lots of rubber wood furniture. Practically impossible to avoid if buying imports. And since so many American companies have closed down or relocated to Asia to survive, rubber wood is prevalent in the industry. Rubber wood has a beautiful grain, takes stain well and often masquerades as "cherry" or "oak". It is durable, pretty, and yes, it is sustainable from the rubber harvest.

What pieces of furniture are you considering buying?
