OMG he is just so stinking cute!!!!
On the off chance that Rudy is a female - will you be hatching eggs from her? Is the scaleless trait dominant? Is it dangerous? Like the tufted/rumpless trait that makes raising auriconas (sp??) difficult.

The gene is recessive. No not a lethal gene at all, the only difficulty is in the logistics of the actual act of breeding w/o feathers for the male to hold on to. Breeding for more depends on how difficult it is to keep Rudy comfortable and healthy.

Interesting. Looks like he still has the dander that chickens have? I guess I thought that was from feather shafts. Or maybe that is from the other chickens near him.
You can sure see the dinosaur ancestry without the feathers disguising his form.
At least you won't have to worry about him flying out of the pen.
