Rudy, the survivor

Working on some wool sweaters for them. The two larger ones (Rudy and Hudini) have the front and back of the sweaters. And the two smaller ones (Phyllis and Stripey Butt) are made out of the sweater sleeves. Adult small and medium sizes. Rudy wore a wool sweater all last winter and did well. I have altered the design a little to fix a few issues.











These are inside out for now I was marking and measuring for leg straps
 
All the nakeds have new sweaters on tonight. Rudy was wearing it like a boss, Phyllis was throwing a temper tantrum, Houdini was already trying to figure a way out of it, and Stripey butt was just interested in going back to the food.

(it is getting down into the 30's tonight for the next few nights)
 
It is with a heavy heart I make this announcement. Rudy the rudester has died. He wasn't sick or unwell acting, his death was sudden and unexpected and did not involve trauma. His life was as full as any rooster could expect, he got to live his life w/ the sun on his face and w/ his own flock of adoring flockmates both chicken and rabbit. He will be missed.

Aww @Kassaundra he will truly be missed by all his TEG friends. So sorry for your loss. :hugs
 
Oh no, I'm sorry Kassaundra. You did give him a very fabulous life for a chicken though. I'm glad he didn't suffer. We will sure miss his antics too. I always looked forward to your Rudy updates. :hugs
 
Rudy was so special and all of your posts so entertaining. I am so glad he did not get hurt by wildlife. My chickens sometimes die of old age while most just keel over one day. It just happened the other day in fact to a hen that was not too old, but certainly was not as special as your Rudy. What a great life he had. I'm so glad he had offspring for you to enjoy. So sorry.

Oh no!!! Rudy will be sadly missed!! I am so sorry Kassaundra, for your loss.
Little Rudy was such a sweet rooster and he has made his mark in chickendom.
