I dug up and transferred black eyed Susans to my garden! My husband mowed carefully around them in the yard. HOA-

The black eyed Susans readily seed for us. We've got several blooming that over wintered in the pots for the wife's flowers that got moved to the garage. (my lumbago! Argh!) Beautiful flowers.
Crazy Lady has been bringing home wildflower seed mixtures for a few years. I think I'll empty all those packets and let nature take its course. I don't think the susan seed were scattered in that section. Or I don't see any sprouting yet. Parrot jungle come summer.

beware, beware! one of our most pesky weeds here was brought in via one of those mixes... corn speedwell. arg! hundreds of hours by now weeding that out and trying to keep it from getting worse.

@flowerbug thank you for the warning. These packets were from 1994 (!!) and she hadn't sown them. I think I need to go ahead and add others. I emptied 10 packets into a 50'x50' area. The clover is sprouting well! Of course, it has been raining for a week, so everything is sprouting.
Seeds were Bachelor's Buttons, Coreopsis and black-eyed susans. I held back the poppies for no good reason.
The fig has a green tip! It lives! Hahahahaha! Now for the other one...
I should note, these are not mine, but Crazy Lady's projects. I just feed, water, take to vet, clean up, brush and mop the muddy floors. Yes, master!
I will get more pictures. I will wait for sunshine. July??? is looking promising for sunshine. If the flowers are blooming, I'll use them for a back drop.

Green onions. I enjoy green onions. We ran out of the white bulb ones and I ran to the garden because I always forget we have green ones growing. Wonderful green onions. Reminds me of Grandpa Jeff (Mom's Dad). He had onions for every meal and snacks. He'd eat them raw. He had a water tumbler on the table with the white parts year round. They didn't last long around there. I only remember him having a garden once.
This batch was 3 years old in the side barrel. I moved them to the kitchen garden last spring when I was moving stuff around. Spread the bunches out and they took off.
What does mustard plants taste like? I spread some mixed salad green seeds out last spring and thought they all died. One, that looked like a radish, must have just hit a nutrient spot and boom! Salad greens. Taste like horseradish - Argh! Goes good with onion.
Salad greens = Mesclun, Gourmet Greens Mixture by Ferry Morse. I quote from the package, "A colorful mixture of lettuce and mustard greens." Does not list horseradish as an option.
The parrots helped me transplant the compost volunteers. The potatoes may live, the pumpkin/cucumber/zucchini doesn't appear to have like being ripped from the compost heap and is pouting. Silly me thinking they wouldn't jump on top. But I will say, the devastation among the rolly pollies was decisive.

The Asian Ground Parrots are amazing. Should have done this years ago. Not only do they weed, they fertilize. Now when I say weed, I mean eat everything green. Total devastation.
Got the zucchini's planted in the ground. 3 out of 4 lived. Peppers, cucumbers and some cherry tomatoes. Wish me luck. The @baymule memorial fence and trellis is working great! Can't wait for the sweet taters to take off.
If I plant cucumbers, will they be spent by the time the sweet taters are taking off? The charts says both are planted in April. With 60 days to harvest, that puts the cucumbers dying in June. Hmm.
