Sorry, we lost a chicken this week. She hasn't been well for a while though. I lost "my first" chick several years ago to a fox and it was heartbreaking. She used to help me weed in the garden as a pullet. She would follow me down the row and pick out any bugs as a weeded. She and I were gardening buddies and it was very hard when she was taken.
