Laid out flat planting thyme ....... now that's garden dedication!! If I laid down anywhere on our place, fire ants would bite me.

Glad I never have to deal with fire ants, the name alone gives warning .

They say gardening can be restful, but I don't think they mean you should lay down and nap between plantings.

Back in my teens I was working at a state park. There was a line of dogwoods at the entrance about 1/2mile along the side of the road. Once a week - all summer long - one of us would have to push mow that line of trees. One of my turns happened to be during a stretch of 100* heat. I got about half way and decided to take a break in the shade. Since the mower was a BEAST to start, and I was only going to stop for a moment to catch my breath, I left it running. I had no sooner laid down in the shade before I heard brakes screaching and the driver came rushing over to see if I was dead.
