Good Girl keep at it I always check farm and garden 1st then Antiques then Materials !!! Don't forget if you need something there's a wanted section. I got a few thing buy posting wanted cheap.

Ha! I do the same order NYboy, except for antiques. But I do look at furniture, and I don't know why, you couldn't shoe horn another piece of furniture into this little house.

There's never anything good on my local Craigslist, just junk or otherwise people who think they are sitting on GOLD (and I'm not going to pay what they want for the item.) Can't believe your luck at Lowes! I don't get up there often, so I wonder how frequently deals like that come up. I wish I had more time to search out such things, go to estate auctions, etc. Those boards would be perfect for so many things. I think I would have used them to build a raised bed. :)

My sister in MO always gets amazing deals at the big box home centers.
But she lives in town and it's not out of her way to take a few minutes to stop in. She bought a brand new, returned S/S sink for $5 because she saw it at the return desk and stopped to ask about it. !!! Not a single thing wrong with it!
I am a Bargain Buster I think. When they see me pull in they race around and hide all the good stuff.

I don't like to play games and I think haggling is akin to a game. However, I am forever proud of the haggling I did when purchasing my living area carpeting. I really consider that I ended up with a great deal going back and forth between the two sellers I was working with.

And, of course, I am not above a bit of haggling when buying a car. Who'd want to pay the price marked on the window anyway?

Not that I think anything is wrong with haggling. It can be a fine art that I admire. It is just that I expect to give my best offer and get theirs at the same time. One of the reasons I never got on negotiations for teacher salary I suppose.

I realize that. Not only accepted, but expected and enjoyed by both parties. I just wish people could honestly give a bottom price from the start as I do when offering something for sale.
