@Nifty thanks for asking. Occasionally, actually fairly regularly, Internet sites lock up on me. TEG, Yahoo, places like that. BYC does not. I have pop-ups blocked on BYC, I really think pop-ups are the problem. By lock-up mean I cannot move in the site or even close it by hitting the "X" at the top right. I can minimize the page by hitting the "-" at the top right. Eventually it clears. That can be several seconds or several minutes. It doesn't happen all the time and seems more prevalent in the morning. Most evenings it is not a problem.

The way I get around the problem is to just open another window. I often have three or four windows opened and minimized, usually to the same program. If I really want to I can go to control-alt-delete and shut down the program.

it's not as aggravating as it sounds, I can deal with it.

Thanks for the info!

We try really hard to make the sites work on all the combos of computers and browsers, but it can get really tricky. Even with my new(ish) computer I have problems on lots of the popular sites and have to close / restart my browser.

We'll keep looking into it and see if we can figure out what's going on!

@Nifty @sumi I just got a pop-up that said I had a message from the webpage. Instead of opening it I closed it. I just don't trust that kind of stuff. I did not get a screen shot or anything like that. I was just looking at the general forum page. Is there a legitimate reason for the "webpage" to send me a message? Or is this another problem to avoid?

TEG webpages are having a difficult time loading in my tablet.

I guess that I could turn on PC and see ...

This seems to be doing okay! It has the alternative of using a touchscreen. i have wondered ... no, there is no problem.

Ridge', it may be a combination of things.

I contacted Nifty and asked him. If you see it again, can you please get a screenshot?

I still have the blip ... blip ... blip as the webpages fail to fully load on the tablet.

It's as tho something else wants to load and it interferes with typing and typing was very difficult on the tablet, yesterday morning. Better Today.

The webpages are and were stable on the PC, or seemed to be.

Sumi, I'll try if it happens again. I've only seen it the one time but if it is malware it looks pretty convincing, mainly in its simplicity.

Steve, I only use a desktop so I don't know any other devices. That occasionally happens on the desktop, but not a lot. I figure when typing gets like that it means something is running in the background and very often that something has something to do with advertisements. I used to have ads blocked on the sister chicken forum, but now I don't. With the ads not blocked that kind of stuff happens so often I usually type my posts in Word and do a copy when I'm ready. I'm wondering if that problem is limited memory in the tablet or something else technical.

The kind of typing problems I get might be that punctuation marks might show up a few spaces later than they should or the space bar does not cause a skip so words run together. Sometimes the letters seem to get out of order but that probably has more to do with my typing skills than the machine getting confused because it is trying to multitask.

That's partly "it," Ridge'.

What the tablet experiences, and it isn't often, is me typing 2 or 3 letters -- the screen freezes -- blip - the letters appear.

Or, they don't. With my lightning typing speed of 24½ words per minute, I can run on too far without the letters appearing in the TEG text box. Entire words need to be retyped and my proofreading skills are challenged (always challenged but more-so ;)). Maybe every other month, this serious delay seldom happens but it was happening yesterday morning when you posted. There was no pop-up that appeared.

Thanks for all the reports and info everyone!

I've been looking over things and don't see anything amiss or something that I can duplicate. That said, I definitely want to find a solution for those that are still having problems.

@digitS' which tablet are you on, and which browser / version are you using on your tablet?

If anybody gets any popups, please screenshot and send send it to me!
