Finally, after resowing and transplanting, I got two flats or 144 baker creek alisa craig onion seedlings growing. A lot of unnecessary work resowing and transplanting. It's easier to pull a weak seedling than it is to move them around. But it is what it is...

Flat on the right is about 2 weeks ahead on the flat on the left :(

Baker creek cabbage, Brussels and califlower are working on germinating still. Looks like more moving and transplanting will be needed. I sowed cabbage, brussels, califlower and broccoli all at the same time. Broccoli had great germination rate. cabbage, brussels, califlower not so much :( First time ording from Baker Creek, I think I'll stick with Victory and Johnny's seeds next year.

You use Victory Seed? I look at their website every year and think that I really should. They used to have candy ... real candy (not the onions or corn ;)).

It made it so much harder for me to go elsewhere for orders.

Like Pinetree and their teas ...

I've used Victory Seeds for many years - never been unhappy.

Gotta get going. DH said he wanted me to grow parsley, so I got some seeds and put them in a terra cotta pot inside of a quart ziploc baggie. They have sprouted, but are really tiny. Groundhog in Puxatawney says early spring...we will see. Funny, even AFTER the supreme cold this week my mare is starting to shed!

@Crealcritter your pictures are motivating me to setup my seed flats. It looks like you are not running heat mats. Is it very warm in there?

Your right I never seen a need for heat mats. I just use the warmth off the florescent lights and a old small space heater. Seems to work good for me.
