I went to go get the mail and notice 12 of my tulip bulbs I planted in November have sprouted out of the ground... maybe more even as I've seen some more soil shift. I planted 30+ bulbs!
This is one coming up between some creeping jenny... which that is starting to lose its deep fall purple/green color. Soon it will be back to its nice light green and yellow blooms and continue to choke out weeds and fill the bed until there is no more need for mulch.
Oh, loved that pix of the emerging tulips! Imagine we all are so hungry for spring and all the yummy gardening that awaits us!
Our snow finally melted and I see some tiny daffodils heads poking warily up here and there too. The alder trees are turning pink from new seed heads forming along the fir covered hillsides. Looks like pink smoke from a distance. Ahhh, spring is really coming.....
It is going to be awhile for this part of the Country. It was -25 here yesterday, and -11 this morning. I am looking forward to spring myself! But am happy that the days are actually looking to be a few minutes longer now.:rainbow-sun
