I have some silver dollar seeds from my Mom's garden. They always self-seeded there. I have tried planting them here in the spring and had very disappointing results. Maybe I am supposed to plant them in the fall? Anybody growing these?

My greatgrandma always had some of those and as a kid I always thought they were so neat. I think she self-seeded hers. They'd have to be low maintenance or she wouldn't have had them. There also used to be some at the old farm house at my dad's farm. They came back year after year on their own. The great-great-grandma who planted those passed long before I was born.

If you saved seed from your mom's to plant, maybe they need to be cold-stratified first?
