I type medical reports and the amount of pregnant women on drugs and taking their babies away from them is just unbelievable. Story in news over in Spokane of a woman on drugs and left her baby in a yard - just sad.

Ehhh, I just saw an advert on here at the top of the screen (Google ad) for "legal" marijuana :\ I'm not so sure about that…

As an art teacher in a poor public school community I had had tens of thousands of students. For about a year at least once a week a former student had died of an over dose. The 20 to 22 years old girls seemed to be dying at an alarming rate. They were nice girls when I had them, but a little ruff around the edges. They post notes to their friends on the obituary page. So many began with "I remember when we used to sneak out in middle school in the middle of the night to go party." Parents were not paying attention from an early age. So much lost potential.

Up to 15% of doctors are drug addicts

Is it surprising? Isn't it likely given not only access but a belief in the benefits of medicine?

My sister's friend's husband was a doctor. He had everything going for him. Beautiful wife and 2 small children and hugh house. He was highly thought of by many in his profession. His wife found him one morning in the bathroom dead from a drug overdose. They don't think it was intentional. Some of them have a lot of pressure and access. So sad.

The article linked says:

doctors have an "astronomical" recovery rate.

Thinking about it, showing compassion even for themselves - must be part of the answer.

I didn't see that ad @sumi . The ones I see are usually tied to where I've been on the internet recently. What have you been viewing lately? :duc
LOL Nothing drug related, except THIS thread! ;) I noticed Google places ads related to the forum topics we are discussing and lots of clothing ads in-between (for me anyway). I am shocked that they are advertising pot though… It's still very much an illegal drug in most countries.

I took a screenshot of the ad to send to Rob, if you want to see it I can PM it to you.

Nope. I don't know how good those search engines are but I really don't need to start seeing those ads here.
I agree. We do not need to see ads like that ANYWHERE… I brought it under Rob's attention immediately, so he can sort it out with Google. Hopefully we won't be seeing that one here again.
