Would like to hear opinions/review of a Snapper rear tine tiller. My husband and I are thinking about buying a used tiller that is a couple of years old. They are asking $150.00. Haven't seen it yet, just looking for a general review of the tiller.

Snapper good brand.
rear tine, way to go.
What type of motor does it have? I personally hate Techumseh engines.
When started, no smoke, good sign.

Rear tine at $150, obviously good price.

My DH says never buy anythiong but a rear tine tiller!
He just spent Nearly $700 on a new tiller
So $150 sounds good to me.

$150. Is a great price for a rear tine tiller in working order. I've got about $100. Into my front tine tiller, so another $50. For rear tine is a steal. Keep us posted!
ETA, Carol dees hubby has the right idea buy a rear tine tiller.

Thanks for the feedback. We've learned a little more about it. It is 5hp Briggs & Stratton engine which I've heard are decent engines. Not sure if 5hp is enough power. We're going to look at it tomorrow night so will let you know more afterwards. I search the web for reviews, couldn't find anything. Nice to know I can count of people on this site for info.:)

We got a tiller! The motor sounds good. It started up right away. Everything seem to work fine (forward, backward, tines rotated). I'll use it in the garden tomorrow evening. I'm so excited!! :ya Thanks everyone for your imput!

I asked my DH about the Briggs & Stratton motor. He said just keep oil in it and it will run forever. Great bargain you got there!
