Don't ask I could make a Jerry Springer episode out of this ..let's just say my son has a screw loose and we are trying to get it screwed back in ..me and his girlfriend, my husband and the kids
with a GIANT screwdriver ..or a good cuff I am not sure what right now...

so I planned this most wonderful day ...we were going to Olympia and going to go urban hiking then play in this most spectacular fountain they have that shoots water out in all kinds of patterns...

just so happens we are having a very rare treat ..a very very intense thunderstorm ...with lightening shooting all over the place...

so if I remember correctly ..not a good idea to let a three year old play in a fountain in a thunderstorm right????

;)

maybe I could bait my son into it instead ..he always liked to put on a show!

boy we needed this rain it is nice to see ..and I do love a good thunderstorm ..very rare treat here indeed!

I know huh wifezilla ?

PS we had a wonderful day and the little tank of a manchild had a blast in the fountain ..the thunder and lightening stopped it was still a bit chilly and rainy but we all had a blast and got soaking wet! :weee :weee :weee

I dont know I guess kids in Olympia are wimps because it was in the 70's the storm had stopped an on a perfectly good Sunday afternoon we were the only ones in that fountain!!! (it is one of those built on a flat concrete surface and has water shooting up into the air out of holes ...in random paterns ..very fun! )

I feel very happy and at peace right now this mancub and his older (and most darling) brother and sister ..well let's just say they are good medicine for our souls :love

if you have to have three "surprise" grandkids ..well I scored on this one! they love animals ..the out of doors and are bursting with curiosity!

I am very tired and very content today ...

There are so many people who treat their kids like delicate hot house plants. I say let them get wet and roll around in the dirt. It's good for them :D

well there is a great deal of satisfaction seeing your grandson begging to "sleep at Papa Dea's house" and screaming bloody murder when your son drives off with a ballistic 3 year old kicking and screaming that he does not want to leave your home!!!

he picked "tarrits" (carrots) "beems" (beans) Peebs (peas) ...collected eggs...looked for "nakes" ....and my son who is a sous chef promised to make the kids something wonderful with the harvest (except the snakes we let those go!!!)

so many things lead us to where we are in life ..right now ...with all the sadness and pain my husband and I have had to live though ..and trust me my story while it is my own is not the only story out there...I know that and empathise with anyone who lives through tremendous tragidy in life...

everything in your journey leads you to where you are today you either over come and encooperate it ..or let it consume you and continue to waste your life..

and where I am right now is not so bad :) in fact I see joy in moments again ..somehing I highly rec no matter what you are going through ..no pain is so bad you can not find a moment of joy

I promise because I know!!!
happy gardening :)

How very true.

I would love to wake up one day and have kids, so it must be all the better to wake up one day and find you have grandkids! I'm glad you are making the most of the opportunities you have with them right now! :D

Aren't they just adorable at that age? I love little boys, I've got two myself - well, they used to be little, not so little anymore. My eldest is getting married next August and I'll become a step-gramma then to a now 18 month old boy. I hope he'll come down to visit and learn the wonders of the garden, he'll be a city boy.
