Sorry, Steve, for me improper language usage is like scratching nails on a blackboard. I cringe from my ears to my toes when hearing the language so misused.

While I love that English is a living, changing language, why does it have to change so quickly now? I know it is not just my aging ears.

I surmise there is a vast conspiracy being perpetrated upon the American English argot by a conglomeration of perspicuous, tekkie nerds who have taken over our communication systems and are focused upon retaliation toward their English instructors by invalidating every linguistic mandate proffered to them.
