Has anyone else had problems with them? Talk to local offices, they say one thing. Talk to someone on their national 800 line, get a different answer. Can’t believe it’s so hard to get signed up for A & B. Want it to start July-no problem for me as I’m late filing with proper paperwork to show I’m insured. Wife is eligible in June. She wants part B to start in July. Local office says it has to start in June-costing us $135 plus private insurance. 800 number people tell me Plan B is voluntary and can be started any month. Auburn Indiana bunch are just a bunch of brain dead pencil pushing government beauracrats. Shouldn’t be this hard!

3X I’ve been to local SS office, 1/3 are retirement age, 2/3 aren’t & filing for $$$$. No wonder SS is in trouble.
Go into the office -do not call. You will have to wait, but best to get info face to face and in writing. And when you go in and are neatly dressed, pleasant, intelligent, and patient they are so happy yo wait on you.

i was just happy if people were recently showered, but i also understood that some people were coming home from heavy work or such so not always able to do that... i also didn't mind if people were short and just wanted to get in and get back on with their day instead of having to do small talk or whatever. i could usually tell by looking and listening...

We did that. Never got out of line. Still got terrible service. Auburn branch has #)@*$@‘ for employees that are uninformed.

I only had to go one time. I brought a book figuring it would take forever. One thing I noticed -no one carries a book anymore.

There may be certain times of the month that it is more crowded than others. So you were never spoken to?
Oh they spoke to us. Just didn’t do as we asked. So now my wife gets to go back the 3rd time-different office.

it is rare i don't have one with me if i'm going someplace i'll be expecting to wait. once in a while someone will comment they don't see books/reading in public much any more, but all those people with their noses in their iphones are sometimes reading... sort of.
