I had mine tested by UMass. Their soil testing is much less expensive than our local labs. $9 for PH, nutrients and heavy metals. It took less than two weeks and they gave recommendations on how to improve the soil. I would of never guessed that our soil is great in everything except phosphorus.

I think that's the equivalent of the Extension Office which is actually Penn State operated here...

Where do you go to take a master gardener class?
Also thru the County Extension office. You could check on it when you go get your soil tested. I think every state except maybe Alaska has a Master gardener course. :)
