:hugs Sorry for the loss of your friend. Sorry for the loss of a member I didn't get very long to get to know. :hugs

I fear no one here will think to let my on-line friends of my passing. Sad we often have no idea why members are just not here anylonger.:love

I am so sorry about the loss of your friend. Yes, he was your friend even though you never met face to face. I have friends all over the world through TEG, BYH and SS. Many are very close friends and I would love to meet face to face, but probably never will.

We should include in our will our log in, password and instructions to let our online friends know why we aren't posting anymore. It's just not right to just go away and none of our dear friends here know why.

Thanks everyone, Rob was willing to help anyone with anything if he could. He and his wife from what I saw were self sufficient for the most part, he was the fellow that grew Aeron Purple Star runner beans in isolation for the man who developed this stringless, purple podded runner which has been distributed all over the world to amateur gardeners for the cost of postage.
He and his wife made and sold a lot of different things from their small holdings and I believe he supplied some of the pubs with some of what they raised or made. He was a wealth of knowledge which he gladly shared, just a great human being.

He was right into growing tomatoes, grew many different varieties, he found a cross or mutation in one of them which he named Poppa Tommo's Wild Cherry which I grew for the first time last year, this little zinger pops in your mouth, not for the those with a sweet tooth this one has a real tang. I sent him a few of Larisa's Russian Beauty which he was so looking forward to growing, hopefully his daughter will grow them she inherited her fathers love of gardening.

I sent my condolences to his wife and she sent me a lovely response, I don't think she'd mind me sharing this bit " I have no doubt that he will continue to plant and sow seeds in whatever afterlife he joins! Either that, or he will be too busy setting everyone else straight on various matter for eternity". Knowing him this put a smile on my face.

We never know what tomorrow will bring so make sure you enjoy today to the fullest.

Annette

I just got word that one of our newer members suddenly past away, Poppa T. left us last Saturday.
Rob is the member who has the small holdings in Devon U.K. I don't know all the details but do know he slipped on some black ice and the thought is a blood clot let loose....

Annette~ It's really hard to hold your mud~ when you lose one~ it's really bad```

I just lost a couple~ well over~ the last few years~ they've lived a good while~ but~ we've haven't had them for that long~ there are arguments yet to be won~ things I wanted to tell them~ things I forgot to ask~ I'm not very strong~ with these things~ and it doesn't go away```

I know for you ~it's really bad ~ maybe it can be help~ knowing~ it knocks us all to our knees``

God love you Annette~ may this loved one be awake in the arms of the Lord```
