Why get rid if hazel nut tree's? I love hazel nuts

The Hazelnut trees attract the chipmunks, squirrels and ground squirrels. All three are extremely destructive. Which in turn the squirrels attract the coyotes and bob cats in areas to close to the house. Puts the horses, dogs and cats at risk . I have experienced a bob cat in a tree in the back yard hiding up high in the populars, Doug firs, ponderosa pines, and red alder. Not to mention a few times riding along the trails in the woods and valleys next door have crossed paths with a recent bob cat kill laying fresh across the trails more than once.
Maybe I’m a bit too cautious, there are animals to also keep safe and it’s my responsibility to protect them, which of course is number one on my list. It’s a zoo out there….we also have raccoons, deer , elk and occasionally bears.

Hey yall, this is a screenshot of our sheriff posting on FB. His droll humor is priceless. I’ve actually gone to visit friends and we watched his videos, laughing like a pack of hyenas. He puts it all out there. If yall are on FB, I highly suggest following his page.

Thank you 😊
You have certainly educated me . We don't have coyotes or bears here so please excuse my lack of understanding with your situations in your country.

It's such a shame not having those yummy nuts though.
