an old-time friend of mine told me about buying bread and finding odd bits of this and that in them. he didn't think much of it until he was talking to someone who made flour and that person told him about what happens to mice that are in the grain bins. i'll stop there, but, ..., eww...
in the older days i can believe it, but in more recent times you would think that they'd have better screening and controls to prevent such happenings.
personally, i've found odd bits of this and that in various mass produced foods. i just pick them out if they don't seem dangerous enough to contact the manufacturer about them. a bit of bean stem in frozen veggies or an end of a carrot bit is just not worth getting upset about. those just go into the worm bins anyways (which is what i'm supposed to be doing now but i keep getting distracted ).
