I always plant peas really close in a double row about 4 inches apart with netting in the middle...they come up really thick but I get a good yield out of them...
Oh ok, you mean 4 inches between the two rows right? Just wanted to make sure i planted them ok. I saved room in my garden by planting in double rows which is a good thing.momofdrew said:I always plant peas really close in a double row about 4 inches apart with netting in the middle...they come up really thick but I get a good yield out of them...
Yeah you probably planted a little too early, peas like temps above 40 degrees, so you might of had a few nights that were below 40 and that probably affected them. You should plant some fresh seeds and try again.aquarose said:I planted peas on St. Patricks Day, like I always have, and NONE came up. Too cold still I guess.

That should be fine, you'll just lengthen the harvest a bit.smom1976 said:I have 3 planting times.. I planted some and not all came up.. then I planted more and some of those came up and then I went through and planted more.. and so I have a few that are blooming and others that are just 2 inches tall..
I will fill in again i suppose..
