I've seen them on trails, at forks. A hiking friend calls them "trail ducks".
I don't why it would bother someone to see them. It's no more jarring than printed trail signs. Or footprints.

I'm just thinking how I have these various settings on the microwave for nuking a mug of water for tea and now, Kava. They have to do with how much water I have put in mug.

Yes: :45, 1:25, 1:30, 1:45 .

Does that mean that I try to be precise? Yes. Does it mean that I have patience? No! It means that I want to start drinking my tea or coffee within seconds of pulling the hot water from the oven!

How are you getting along with that Kava, @digitS'? I think I'm going to have to get back on it. I'm enjoying my freshly ground Dunkin' a little too much.

Only the second cup of Kava, today.

It's mild ... or, something. I don't like the idea that acidic coffee has any appeal to me. Yuk.

I can deal with mild - that's okay. I must have drank Yuban for over 20 years and it has that reputation ...

who often continues right on enjoying the drink at room temperature ;)

Stacked rocks! Cool! I wish I had pretty rocks like that. Waht's available around here is the orangey-rusty-reddish iron ore type rocks. Makes pretty stone work. The elementary school has a stone fence around it of this type rock build in the early 1930's by the CCC.

Tell your DH, nice looking stack.

@baymule, those aren't native rocks here. I bought them a while back to use in a flower bed border. They have been carted all over the property for various projects.
I think I remember seeing rocks like that on the McKenzie River in Oregon. I wanted to bring home a car full of them. We have the most boring native rock here.....snooze...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
