Shouldn't may be too strong (I know I used the word) but just like Latin (which I took) it's a dead use. Today's children need to learn key board. Writing letters, was great for previous generations but now, it's dead. Typing (printing) is the present and future. Plus it takes time to teach. Time better spent on other subjects. Plus people develop different styles and is hard to read.
