Had some of the broccoli plants rot off at the stem when I was planting them in the bed. So I stuck them all together in the ground just to see what would happen. They are not wilting away and now growing....who knew?!
My girl is named Sniezka, snow princess, also a mountain in Poland. But I ended up calling her a random nickname instead... =/ Whoopsies. So trying to find one for the pup that is slightly easier to say, which, for most people, is none of them...lol.
Little cold crop seedlings are doing well hardening off.
Going to start the tomatoes tomorrow and plant them. Will start the peppers and cukes as well. But the seedling cukes & watermellon will stay indoors a couple more weeks.
Got most of the garden in!
But I need to finish the 8/9 beds for the two sets of cukes and one set of watermelon.
Then make a 10th bed for the potatoes and plant them.
And lastly, hack out grass for the corn patch.
And here I thought I was nearly all set n done!
If you're wondering about hardening them off, rain and heavy clouds for a week, so they should be fine.
Guess I cannot count, 4 original beds, 2 added, then 2 more added and now 1 added, total of 9. Whoopsies.
Finished the final 3 last night. Need to put up the cattle panel for the vines and wait until next week to plant. Expecting 30s the next few nights, gotta cover the peppers and tomatoes...
Not sure how I'll figure out the corn area. Might make a small pig pen and have DH help me drag the crated pigs into the new pen until they've turned everything over for me. They did a great job out in the horse area where their permanent pen is at now.
