Starting Basil From Cuttings...

well the last set of basil was out side in my biodome uncovered. I saw them one day and the next they were gone. Just gone. I have found that some things are jusst too much trouble. like for example tomatoes, I cant grow them I always end up killing them so I have resigned myself to purchasing starts from Lowes. I know I wont get variety out there but it gives me piece of mind and less stress than getting upset when I kill things. So for 3+ years now I have started and failed at basil (and chives for that matter). Oh well. Thankfully somebody sells it or I could never buy any.

I agree- no need to get stressed. I don't enjoy planting things I have to pray over. As long as you can buy transplants. I wouldn't give up on basil though... If I can grow it here in upstate NY, I imagine it would love your conditions.

Well, the basil hasn't died, but then again it hasn't rooted either.... However I think it'll start soon!!!!!!!!!!!
